Going Pro At MFP
July 1, 2019Manufacturing Day At MFP
September 30, 2019Last month, MFP was able to host an Open House broadcasting who we are, what we do and the products we sell. We had various types of visitors including vendors, customers and people in the community coming to check out our building or see what we do.
During the two days of the Open House, we had an assortment of vendors come in an teach a variety of training classes. These classes were free and open to anyone who could attend. We had a lot of positive response from these trainings including the following:
“I attended Bob Hendricksen’s presentation on “Getting Things Done” with first-hand knowledge of juggling projects and requests from varied sources. He presented a method of managing many tasks by identifying, organizing and acting on them. That method can be summed up in “capture – process – organize – review – do.” Additionally, he introduced a tool, in the form of an App, of course, called Wunderlist. One of the neat ideas he presented was to consider where your tasks can be completed, such as at the computer, out & about, or at home. Mr. Hendricksen also told of the results obtained by implementing the “Getting Things Done” method at Steelcase, where he works. It was very impressive. Our challenge is to implement the method at MFP and optionally at home. The reward will be greater productivity and less stress. Sounds like something I could embrace.”
“As a new employee of MFP Automation Engineering, I tried to attend as many classes as possible. During the open house we had a variety of classes ranging from personal and professional effectiveness with Bob H to trouble shooting methodology with Mark R. to technical drive controlled Hydraulic pumps offered by Parker. I would highly recommend that our customers and coworkers attend these classes. You walk away with a few actionable items that you can take and implement in your personal and professional life. On a side note as I visit my customers, I often hear great feedback on how good these classes have been for them. Thanks again for organizing these classes, I am looking forward to our next open house classes again.”
It is exciting to see customers and employees gain vast information from the Open House. The purpose of all of this was to teach our audience what we do and how they can learn new information on the industry we work in.
