MFP Automation Engineering was founded in 1991 and, since then, has grown to become one of the top thirty distributors of motion control, fluid power and automation products in the country. Formerly known as Michigan Fluid Power, we specialize in pneumatics, hydraulic power units, custom manifolds, servo motors, motion control products and much more!
Today, MFP Automation Engineering represents the world’s leaders in motion control and fluid power, including:
- Parker Hannifin

At MFP Automation Engineering, we maintain a singular focus on the automation industry. With a 47,000 square foot facility that includes complete capabilities for hydraulic power unit fabrication, an advanced machine shop and inventory in excess of a million dollars, we have become a valued, trusted partner to some of the industry’s most recognizable names.
In addition to being a manufacturing firm, MFP Automation Engineering also sells America’s finest lines of parts. We have CNC vertical machining centers ranging from 5 spindle horsepower to 25 spindle horsepower. And, our turn-key design and manufacturing of custom manifolds is supported by AutoCAD and 3D Inventor software. In fact, where we used to outsource manifold engineering and manufacturing, we now make custom manifolds for our customers, including Parker Hannifin.
Staffed by certified fluid power specialists, mechanical and electrical engineers, our engineering department has over 200 years of combined experience. Furthermore, we have been the recipient of numerous awards and honors, including being named Small Business of the Year by the Grand Rapids Chamber of Commerce, chosen as one of SBDC’s 50 Companies to Watch, and selected as a finalist in the EY Entrepreneur of the Year ceremonies.
