Order Entry Specialist

Title: Order Entry Specialist

Status: Full Time exempt/non-exempt

Department: Customer Service

Reports to: Customer Service Manager

Purpose of the Position: MFP is seeking a detail-oriented and tech-savvy Order Entry Specialist to join our dynamic Customer service team. This role will focus primarily on accurate and timely entry of customer orders, including support for EDI (Electronic Data Interchange) transactions. The ideal candidate will have strong data entry skills, comfort with navigating business software, and a solid understanding of distribution operations.

Key Responsibilities

Enter customer purchase orders into ERP and order management systems with speed and accuracy

Assist with EDI order processing, troubleshooting transmission issues, and ensuring data integrity

Review incoming orders for completeness, pricing accuracy, and product availability

Collaborate with customer service reps to resolve order discrepancies or missing information

Maintain organized records of order confirmations, changes, and cancellations

Communicate with internal departments (e.g., warehouse, sales, accounting) to ensure smooth order flow

Support continuous improvement of order entry processes and documentation

Preferred Qualifications

2+ years of experience in order entry, data entry, or customer service within a distribution or manufacturing environment

Familiarity with EDI systems and basic troubleshooting

Proficient in Microsoft Office and ERP/order management software

Strong attention to detail and commitment to data accuracy

Ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize in a fast-paced setting

Excellent written and verbal communication skills

Associate degree or business coursework preferred

Title: Business Development Representative (BDR)

Status: Full Time/Exempt

Department: Sales

Reports to: Sales Manager

Purpose of the Position:

The Business Development Representative (BDR) will have the primary responsibility of identifying and qualifying new customer opportunities for MFP through prospecting. This key member of the Sales Team will utilize multiple methods of communication to reach our targeted customers outreach (phone, e-mail, LinkedIn, etc.). The BDR will conduct discovery meetings of prospect customers both over the phone and through virtual meetings to recognize an appropriate fit for MFP’s products & services. Following this discovery process, the BDR will identify the appropriate next steps for the customer and hand-off the qualified opportunities to the Outside Sales Team.

Duties

  • Prospect for new business opportunities for MFP
  • Research companies to understand their business as well as identify and connect with Key Decision Makers
  • Identify new opportunities and qualify for the Sales Team through initial discovery calls or meetings

Field Technician

Title: Field Technician

Status: Full Time (non-exempt)

Department: Installations

Reports to: Field Project Manager

Purpose of the Position: The Field Technician supports MFP’s installations on hydraulic & lubrication systems at our customers’ facilities. Work will include infrastructure projects, mobile and industrial lubrication applications, service calls, preventative maintenance, and equipment start-ups. A Field Technician will learn all aspects of MFP’s business and will gain experience with on-the-job training.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Assist in hydraulic plumbing of equipment pre-assembled at MFP
  • Hose assembly and tube bending/fabrication for hydraulic applications
  • Hydraulic power unit start-up and integration
  • Ability to troubleshoot existing system(s) to diagnose issues
  • Layout and installation of lubrication systems to meet customer expectations
  • In-house repairs

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Knowledge of safety regulations and procedures to ensure a safe working environment
  • Experience with hydraulics systems and components
  • Understanding of machine lubrication systems both mobile and industrial
  • Familiarity with drilling & tapping
  • Exposure to arc welding or ability to learn
  • General understanding of schematics (electrical or hydraulic) and blueprint interpretation
  • Technical training and/or certifications encouraged but not required
  • CDL or ability to obtain a CDL

Critical Competencies:

  • General understanding of mechanical skills with a technical aptitude
  • Strong customer service skills to communicate directly with customers onsite

Working Conditions: Frequent travel is required, up to 75% of the time including overnight stays. Title: Shipping & Receiving Material Handler

Status: Full Time (non-exempt/exempt)

Department: Warehouse

Reports to: Warehouse Team Lead

Purpose of the Position: The Warehouse Team Member provides overall support to the warehouse, sub-teams, and is responsible for, in conjunction with the Warehouse Team Leader. The Warehouse Team Member is responsible for all tasks involved in the receiving, storage, and shipment of items received from suppliers or the production shop.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Maintain a positive work environment and attitude towards teammates
  • Act as a warehouse point of contact for all shipping & receiving activities
  • Package finished goods safely to ensure proper delivery to customer
  • Load, wrap, and band pallets for shipping
  • Assist in loading and unloading vehicles driven by couriers and/or freight drivers
  • Maintain cleanliness of inventory area and equipment
  • Identify errors and report them to the appropriate department
  • Interpret packing lists and other documents used by shipping/transportation companies
  • Inspect received items for accurate count, description, and labeling
  • Perform physical inventory counts and/or cycle counts as needed
  • Arrange LTL pick-up by customer specified carriers
  • Operate Pallet Jack, Fork Lift, Company Vehicles
  • Make recommendations for process improvement

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Familiarity with proper inventory stocking procedures to ensure inventory turnover
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
  • Ability to sit, stand, walk, or lift for long periods of time
  • Ability to work as part of a team
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Office tools
  • Ability to learn and use the UPS Worldship and FedEx programs
  • Familiarity with small package, freight and LTL shipping procedures
  • Ability to become a licensed forklift truck operator (training will be provided)

Title: Systems Engineer

Status: Full Time (exempt/non-exempt)

Department: Engineering

Reports to: Department Team Lead

Purpose of the Position: Our Systems Engineers design and implement automation and fluid power solutions to meet our customers’ needs. This team member is responsible for creating and documenting designs to ensure product functionality and quality.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Creating and maintaining Bill of Materials for engineered systems.
  • Detailing hydraulic and/or electrical schematics.
  • Creating Layout 3D models and drawings for engineered systems.
  • Evaluating customer specifications and requirements to ensure systems meet expectations.
  • Follow internal workflow process to ensure product quality.
  • Assist with startup and implementation of engineered systems.
  • Propose and implement internal improvement projects and product development for MFP engineered systems.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience reading and creating circuit diagrams, schematics, and technical drawings
  • Strong organizational skills and time management
  • Effective communicator both verbal and written, especially when presenting technical information to a non-technical audience.
  • Experience working with established workflows and collaborating with coworkers.
  • Willingness to expand area of expertise. Systems engineers are expected to work on hydraulic, pneumatic, electro mechanical, and electrical systems.
  • Knowledge of manufacturing environments and current manufacturing market trends.
  • General knowledge of machine control & PLC interface.
