Title: CNC Machine Operator

Status: Full Time (exempt / non-exempt)

Department: CNC

Reports to: CNC Team Lead / Production Supervisor

Purpose of the Position:

The CNC Machine Operator will complete our custom designed hydraulic manifolds through quality production and accurate detail for customer required specifications. We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented CNC Machine Operator to join our CNC department. The ideal candidate will have experience in operating CNC mills, interpreting technical drawings, and maintaining high standards of quality in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.

Job Responsibilities:

• Set up and operate CNC machines (mills) to produce hydraulic manifolds
• Read and interpret blueprints, engineering drawings, and work instructions
• Perform tool changes, offsets, and minor program edits as needed
• Inspect parts using precision measuring instruments (calipers, micrometers, gauges)
• Maintain accurate production records and ensure traceability
• Perform routine machine maintenance and report any issues to maintenance staff
• Collaborate with engineering and quality teams to resolve production challenges
• Follow safety protocols and maintain a clean, organized work area
• Understanding of additional operations such as deburring & anodizing
• Participate in daily, weekly, and monthly work-in-process meetings
• Assist Material Handlers with job staging and material distribution to ensure schedules are being met

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience CNC Machinist with 3-5 years on-the-job knowledge; Certificates or Education will be considered along with experience
• Extremely high attention to detail, aesthetics, visual precision and prideful of your work
• Proficiency in reading mechanical drawings and using measurement tools
• Familiarity with G-code and CNC programming basics
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. and stand for extended periods
• Excellent problem-solving and communication skills
• Some experience with all Microsoft programs
• Strong organizational skills and time management

Working Conditions: CNC manufacturing floor; must be able to stand, bend, lift without limitations; noise, dust & shavings while operating mills

Title: Field Technician

Status: Full Time (non-exempt)

Department: Installations

Reports to: Field Project Manager

Purpose of the Position:

The Field Technician supports MFP’s installations on hydraulic & lubrication systems at our customers’ facilities. Work will include infrastructure projects, mobile and industrial lubrication applications, service calls, preventative maintenance, and equipment start-ups. A Field Technician will learn all aspects of MFP’s business and will gain experience with on-the-job training.

Job Responsibilities:

• Assist in hydraulic plumbing of equipment pre-assembled at MFP
• Hose assembly and tube bending/fabrication for hydraulic applications
• Hydraulic power unit start-up and integration
• Ability to troubleshoot existing system(s) to diagnose issues
• Layout and installation of lubrication systems to meet customer expectations
• In-house repairs

Preferred Qualifications:

• Knowledge of safety regulations and procedures to ensure a safe working environment
• Experience with hydraulics systems and components
• Understanding of machine lubrication systems both mobile and industrial
• Familiarity with drilling & tapping
• Exposure to arc welding or ability to learn
• General understanding of schematics (electrical or hydraulic) and blueprint interpretation
• Technical training and/or certifications encouraged but not required
• CDL or ability to obtain a CDL

Working Conditions: Frequent travel is required, up to 75% of the time including overnight stays. Title: Motion Systems Engineer

Position Summary:

The Motion Systems Engineer designs and supports hydraulic, pneumatic, electrical automation, and motion control systems for customer applications. The role includes system design, documentation, customer collaboration, and implementation support. Scope and independence increase with experience, from foundational design and documentation work to ownership of larger, more complex engineered systems.

Role Impact and Growth:

At MFP Automation Engineering, Motion Systems Engineers play a direct role in the quality, reliability, and technical strength of the solutions we deliver to customers. Their work supports clear handoffs between sales, engineering, and production, helps customers solve motion and automation challenges, and reinforces MFP’s reputation as a trusted technical partner.

This role also offers a clear path for professional growth. Engineers can continue developing technical depth, customer-facing confidence, project ownership, and system-level problem-solving ability. Growth may include IFPS certifications, advanced product and technology training, exposure to larger and more complex applications, and increasing responsibility for guiding technical decisions within projects.

Job Responsibilities:

• Design hydraulic, pneumatic, and electrical automation systems for customer applications.
• Develop and maintain Bills of Materials (BOM) hydraulic/electrical schematics and 3D layout models for engineered systems.
• Review customer specifications and ensure design compliance.
• Collaborate with sales team, fellow engineers, and directly with customers, both virtually and in person, to define and validate system requirements.
• Support system startup and commissioning at customer sites.
• Follow internal workflows to maintain quality and consistency.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s or Associate’s degree in engineering or 10+ years of relevant experience.
• Ability to obtain IFPS Hydraulic, Pneumatic, and Electronic Controls Specialist certifications:
  • At least one certification within 1 year.
  • All three certifications within 5 years.
• Strong mechanical aptitude and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Organizational and time management skills.
• Growth mindset with commitment to continuous learning.
• Senior candidates: Demonstrated ability to lead projects and mentor others.
